E.H.M. is one to keep an eye on! I particularly loved the world-building and character work you accomplished in such a short story. Great action writing as well; you managed to vividly illustrate details and reactions without bogging it down. The body horror was wicked and visceral.

i really liked this! some vivid turns of phrase, great pacing, and a good sense of how much to describe to be effective.
